Public aid for SMEs: how it works.

In Luxembourg, an SME can be supported to set up an artificial-intelligence tool, with State aid. Here is the procedure, as the State describes it. We do not file the application, we do not assess eligibility and we guarantee no decision: the Ministry decides.

The procedure, in order

  1. You book an appointment

    With the House of Entrepreneurship (Chamber of Commerce) or, for craft businesses, the eHandwierk service of the Chambre des Métiers.

  2. A pre-analysis

    Mandatory. A review of your situation regarding AI, which identifies priority actions.

  3. You choose the package and the provider

    The one that best meets your expectations. You draw up a quote with them, for an amount between €3,000 and €25,000 excl. VAT.

  4. Filing and decision

    The bodies help you prepare the application. The Ministry of the Economy analyses and validates the application, or not.

  5. Implementation

    The provider installs the tool.

  6. Evaluation

    An evaluation meeting closes the file.

  7. Invoice and reimbursement

    You pay the provider's invoice. You are then reimbursed, up to the subsidy granted.

Who is concerned

  • Companies holding a business permit (autorisation d'établissement) granted by the Ministry of the Economy.
  • Companies meeting the SME conditions: headcount, annual turnover, annual balance sheet.
  • Registered office in Luxembourg.
  • Eligibility is assessed by the bodies and the Ministry. Not by us.

  • The setup, step by step, demonstrated on your premises.
  • Our presence at the evaluation meeting, if you wish.
  • We do not file your application.
  • We do not rule on your eligibility.

  • We are neither a partner nor an agent of the bodies named.
  • Our prices are the same, with or without aid.

Questions

What does it cost me in the end?
It depends on the Ministry's decision and the amount retained. We do not compute prices after aid: our quote is the same for everyone.
Can you file the application for me?
No. The application is prepared with the House of Entrepreneurship or eHandwierk, and filed by you.
Which package?
Several exist: AI, Digital, Cybersecurity, Sustainability, Service, Starter Kit RSE. The choice is made during the pre-analysis, with the body. We do not set it.
What if the application is refused?
The quote stands, at the same price. You decide.
